The Big Chicken is 56 feet tall. I did some math, and we can make a 1/14 scale miniature (4 feet tall) and miniature buildings for not much money at Home Depot plus quite a bit of man-power.
I'd really like to see what Daniel Walker could come up with with regards to a script. I say we hound him with the task.
I don't think, however, that this and the Hinkle marries a bottle of ketchup idea should be merged. There's plenty of room for Hinkle and his ketchup wife, but not enough for the whole story.
In the meantime, I've been inspired to write the Hinkle/ketchup backstory. Let's begin preproduction on both of these and aim for the 2009 release.
