Not many people are aware that there are actually 2400+ partial dog corpses sponsored by Michael Vick that were worked into the stonemasonry of the arch. So that's part of why Michael Vick isn't too enthralled with it.
There were actually another 1000 dogs due to be cremated by Ray Brent Marsh that would pour from the mouth of the Statue of Peace, but he instead threw them into that lake.
